These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Stackplane (the “Service”), operated by Satya Suman Saridae, an individual based in Hyderabad, India. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
The Service
Stackplane is a multiplayer canvas for designing system architecture, with real-time collaboration and an AI Design Agent that helps configure, connect, and review your diagrams.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country).
- Organization administrators are responsible for the members they invite and the workspace they manage.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully, or to infringe others’ rights;
- upload malicious content, attempt to breach security, or disrupt the Service;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service except as permitted by law;
- abuse the AI features to generate unlawful or harmful content.
Your content
You retain ownership of the diagrams and content you create (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service — including processing it with our AI provider to power the Design Agent, and displaying it to collaborators you invite. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to use it.
AI features
The Design Agent produces automated suggestions and edits that may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided for assistance only — you are responsible for reviewing them and for any decisions you make based on them. The Service is not a substitute for professional engineering judgment.
Plans, billing & cancellation
- The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription(s). Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe.
- You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid features until then.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes apply to the next billing period.
- You are responsible for applicable taxes.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by us and our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive will survive.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of Your Content or your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and update the date above; if changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
