This Privacy Policy explains how Satya Suman Saridae(“Stackplane,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Stackplane application and website at stackplane-ai.dev(the “Service”).
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (or, if you use Google/GitHub sign-in, the basic profile your provider returns).
- Workspace & content — the organizations you create or join, members you invite, and the architecture diagrams and related content you create on the canvas.
- Usage & device data — log data such as IP address, browser/device type, and actions taken, used to operate and secure the Service.
- Payment information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive billing status and the last digits/brand of your card; we never store full card numbers.

How we use information
- To provide the Service — real-time multiplayer editing, presence, and the AI Design Agent.
- To process your diagram content with our AI model provider so the Design Agent can configure, connect, and review your architecture.
- To manage accounts, organizations, invitations, and subscriptions.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, provide support, and comply with legal obligations.
AI processing
When you use the Design Agent, the relevant diagram content is sent to our model provider to generate suggestions and edits. We do not use your private diagram content to train third-party foundation models, and we ask our providers to handle it under appropriate confidentiality terms.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, under contract and only as needed:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Our AI model provider — to power the Design Agent.
- Hosting & infrastructure — to host the application and database.
- Email provider — to send invitations and account emails.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your content or close your account at any time; we will delete or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage much of this in your account settings, or contact us at privacy@stackplane-ai.dev. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date above; material changes may be notified by email or in-app.
